HARTFORD - The UConn baseball team (22-20) beat the University of Rhode Island (15-24), 9-5, on a cold evening at Dunkin' Park on Tuesday night.

Jackson Marshall led the way with his first career four hit game and drove in three in the UConn victory.

After having just two hits entering the Huskies doubleheader on Saturday, sophomore Anthony Belisario registered his third-straight multi-hit game with a two hit night on Tuesday that featured three runs scored and he stole a career-high three bases.

UConn scored three runs in the first inning, the most runs the Huskies have scored in the first inning this season.

The Huskies stole five bases on the night, a season-high, with Belisario grabbing three and Rob Rispoli swiping a pair.

Charlie Hale earned his fifth win of the year in the midweek start and Frank Spirito IV pitched a career-high 2.1 innings out of the pen. Paxton Meyers grabbed his fourth save of the year with 2.2 shutout innings out of the bullpen.

Next up, the Huskies head to Georgetown to face off against the Hoyas beginning on Friday, April 24 at 6 p.m.
