UConn Win Streak Snapped by Harvard

STORRS, CT — The University of Connecticut lacrosse team fell to the Harvard lacrosse team 19–12 on Tuesday evening. The loss snapped a three-game win streak for the Huskies as they move to 6-9 on the season, closing out non-conference play.
Rayea Davis led the offensive effort for UConn, scoring two goals and adding four assists on eight shots, with two of those goals coming from free positions. Emma Dacey contributed to the scoring with one goal and two assists. Abby Beran was a defensive standout, registering three caused turnovers and securing a ground ball. Additionally, Barlow Clark-Schoeb excelled in the draw circle, collecting six on the night.
UConn held a 3-2 lead with three minutes to play in the first quarter before the Crimson ripped off a 7-1 run including five-straight tallies to take a lead they would never relinquish on the night.
Charlotte Hodgson was a standout performer for the Crimson, scoring nine goals, with three player-up goals and the game-winner. Grace Mullahy made a notable impact with three goals and an assist, also adding a player-up goal to her tally. Cecelia Batchelder demonstrated versatility, scoring twice and securing eight draw controls. Callie Batchelder led in playmaking with four assists, providing crucial setups for teammates. On defense, Emerson Midura excelled with three caused turnovers, showing her effectiveness in disrupting the opposition's plays.
Harvard is now 6-8 with the win.
The Huskies' next game will take place on Saturday, April 25, at 11:30 am at home when they face Marquette on "Senior Day".
