Huskies Recognized as IWLCA Academic Honor Squad

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - The UConn women's lacrosse team was recognized as a 2026 IWLCA Academic Honor Squad, with four Huskies named to the IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll.
The IWLCA honored 1,212 student-athletes from 122 different institutions on the 2025-26 IWLCA Division I Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible, student-athletes must be a junior, senior, or graduate student and have earned a cumulative academic GPA of 3.50 or greater.
UConn was also among 357 schools across NCAA Divisions I, II, III, and the NAIA recognized as an IWLCA Academic Honor Squad for the 2025–26 academic year. To earn this distinction, a women's lacrosse program must have posted a 3.2 or higher team GPA for the academic year.
This season, four Huskies earned honor roll recognition: senior midfielders Karsyn Burnash (Adams Center, N.Y.) and Alana Goldhaber (Stamford, Conn.), along with junior defender Abby Beran (Wading River, N.Y.) and junior goalkeeper Sofia Oximana (Seattle, Wash.).
