Huskies, Commodores Set for Conference Tilt

STORRS, Conn. – Entering the home stretch of AAC competition, UConn women's lacrosse travels down to Nashville, Tenn. for a Sunday afternoon showdown against the Vanderbilt Commodores at Donald R. Dizney Stadium. Opening draw is scheduled for 1:00 p.m. ET, with the game being live streamed on the American Digital Network.

Opponent and Series History…
- Vanderbilt leads the all-time series 4-3. UConn took last season's matchup, 20-19, in an overtime thriller.
- The Commodores (9-3) enter Sunday's game coming off an 18-9 defeat at Florida.

Last Time Out…
Freshman Lia LaPrise and sophomore Sydney Watson posted four goals each, but UConn women's lacrosse (2-12, 0-2 AAC) fell to Yale, 17-11, in its final non-conference game Wednesday afternoon at Reese Stadium. Junior Olivia Miles and seniors Dani Dunn and Lexi Kenneally each chipped in one goal apiece for the Huskies, while Miles, LaPrise and Brooke Jensen all contributed assists of their own. Goalkeeper Grace Beshlian racked up 13 saves and two ground balls in the defeat.

Katie Woods enters her 9th season at the helm of the UConn Lacrosse program in 2019. The most successful coach in UConn women's lacrosse history, Woods has accumulated a 107-96 record, six winning seasons and two conference Coach of the Year Awards during her time in Storrs.
