The Huskies have six BIG EAST games remaining and currently are tied for third place with Xavier. UConn and the Musketeers sit one game back of both St. John's and Creighton. The Huskies hold the tiebreaker against Butler, Creighton and Xavier after winning series against each of those teams.

Oliver Pudvar has thrown four-straight quality starts with three of those coming in BIG EAST play. His six wins is tied with Charlie Hale and a few other BIG EAST arms for first in the league.
Jackson Marshall leads the UConn offense with a .373 AVG, 16 doubles, 13 homers and 50 runs batted in.Â
The Pirates are led by Ryan Frontera at the plate with a .333 AVG and Gabe Cavazzoni is hitting .313 with a team-best 14 doubles and 27 RBI. Aiden Dill leads the BIG EAST with 22 stolen bases for the Pirates.Â
UConn is 52-48 all-time against the Pirates and since rejoining the BIG EAST in 2021 the Huskies lead the series 15-1. Last year the Huskies swept the Pirates in Storrs that featured a game-tying RBI single for Bryan Padilla and walk-off single for Rob Rispoli in the 10th inning in the middle game of the three-game set.Â
