2025 Season: Finishes his UConn career with 230 games played, ranked fifth most in program history. Collected 226 career hits, 13th in UConn history. Totaled 159 runs scored (7th), 48 doubles (8th), 25 home runs (13th), 110 runs batted in and 124 walks (6th). Tri-captain. Played in 56 games and made 55 starts during his final year in Storrs. Hit .258 with nine doubles, five home runs and 37 runs batted in. Added eight stolen bases and 42 runs scored. Hit home run to help Huskies beat No. 14 Vanderbilt (3/2). Became the 24th Husky to reach the 200 hit mark with a home run and double at Creighton (4/4). Went 2-4 with four RBI's in a win at Boston College (4/15). Homered and drove in four runs at St. John's (4/27).Â
2024 Season: Second Team All-BIG EAST. Played in 54 games and made 52 starts primarily at second base. Hit .278 with 55 hits including 13 doubles, one triple and six home runs. Scored 31 runs, drove in 39 and was second on the team with 30 walks. Posted 15 multi-hit games and was third on team with 10 multi-RBI games. Had surgery on his hamate bone and delayed start of his 2024 season. Made debut with three hits and drove in two at California (2/24). Notched first multi-hit game of the season with two hits at Cal Baptist (3/16). Went 2-5 with a double and home run at Rutgers (3/24). Followed it up the next day with double and homer at Rutgers (3/24). Registered a pair of hits and drove in two runs vs. CCSU (4/1). Homered vs. Maine (4/10). Scored three runs and collected two hits vs. St. John's (4/12). Homered and hit go-ahead two-run single in eighth inning in win at Georgetown (4/20) as part of season-high four RBI game. Drove in three runs as part of multi-hit game vs. UMass (4/23). Registered an 11-game hit streak, the second longest on the team, from 4/28 to 5/18, average went from .279 to .302 during streak. Hit go-ahead two-run triple in eighth inning vs. Georgetown (5/23) in BIG EAST Tournament.Â
2023 Season: Started in 59 games at shortstop for the Huskies in 2023. Hit .266 with 58 hits including 11 doubles, 1 triple and six home runs and added a career-high 42 runs batted in. Posted 14 multi-hit games and 14 multi-RBI games. Put the Huskies ahead with a two-run single in the seventh to beat Ohio State (2/19). Helped clinch a series win at FAU (3/4) with a three-run double in the eighth inning. In the four-game set at Hawaii (3/10-13), he went 9-18 (.500) with five runs batted in, seven runs scored and featured a pair of doubles, one triple and his first home run of the year. Went 2-4 with a double and homer vs. Mountain West Pitcher of the Year T.J. Fondtain at San Diego State (3/17). Notched a three-hit game and a pair of RBIs vs. Boston College (3/28). Homered at Columbia (4/4). Collected three hits and drove in two runs at St. John's (4/8). Drove in three runs on a pair of doubles vs. CCSU (4/10). Notched a pair of hits including a home run at Xavier (4/15). Homered and drove in two at No. 20 Boston College (4/19). Registered a pair of doubles at Villanova (4/29). Produced three hits and three runs batted in vs. Seton Hall (5/7).Â
2022 Season: Made his UConn debut the fifth game of the season against UNF (2/26). The shortstop played in 61 games and made 60 starts, hit..282 with 64 hits, 15 doubles, two triples, eight homers and drove in 37. Added 16 multi-hit games and 10 multi-RBI games. The College Park Regional All-Tournament team member added 51 runs, 34 walks, four stolen bases and was second on team with five sacrifice bunts. In his collegiate debut, went 3-4 with a double and 2 RBI at UNF (2/26). Hit his first career home run at FIU (3/6). Went 2-3 with a home run and two runs batted in at No. 25 USC (3/15). Started a season-long 12 game hit streak at UC San Diego (3/19-4/5). Went 3-4 with a double, home run and three runs batted in vs. URI (3/25). Had back-to-back multi-hit games at Kent State (4/1-4/2). Went 2-6 with three runs scored and two runs batted in vs. CCSU (4/5). Hit a long three-run home run at Seton Hall (4/16) to secure sweep against Pirates. Had a triple and three RBI vs. UMass (4/19). Hit a home run vs. Xavier (5/14). Hit a two-run home run and delivered an RBI single to lift Huskies to BIG EAST Championship crown vs. Xavier (5/29). Gave the Huskies the lead with a two-run home run against Wake Forest (6/3) in the College Park Regional opener. Had a double and three hits at No. 15 Maryland in the College Park Regional winner's bracket game (6/4). Went 3-4 with a double and two runs batted in to aid Huskies to College Park Regional title against No. 15 Maryland (6/6). 1-4 with an RBI double in Game 1 of Super Regionals at No. 2 Stanford (6/11). Â
2021 Season: Redshirt
High School: Played at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, N.Y. The same school as former Huskies, Anthony Prato and Andrew Zapata. Played for head coach Matt Roventini. Was three-time All-League selection, team captain and MVP.Â
Personal: Bryan Padilla. Parents are Franclin Padilla and Yudelka Taveras. Has one brother, Franklin, and one sister, Kelsy. Business major.
