Lacrosse Heads to Cambridge for Top-25 Matchup Against Harvard

STORRS-Â The No.23 UConn women's lacrosse team will head to Cambridge, Massachusetts on Wednesday night for their first true road game, squaring off against the No.24 Harvard Crimson 6:00pm at Jordan Field.
No. 23 UConn Snapshot (3-1):
The Huskies bounced back from their first loss of the season in a big way this past Saturday, with the offense breaking out for a season-high 19 goals in a 19-2 rout over Manhattan in Storrs. Riley Daly secured BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for the second time this season. Daly anchored a strong UConn defensive effort, with five draw controls, three ground balls, and two caused turnovers. On the offensive end, Rayea Davis kept up her torrid scoring pace, with five more goals on Saturday, finding the back of the net a team-leading 16 times in four games this season.Â
UConn got contributions across the board in the win, with Eliza Bowman notching a hat-trick to continue her four-game goal scoring streak to start the season. Jenna Giardina tallied multiple points for the fourth game in a row, with two goals and an assist. Giardina ranks second on the team with 12 points. Three Huskies achieved milestones on Saturday as well, with Barlow Clark-Schoeb and Tori Tomalia scoring their first career goals, and Gracie Lint making her first career saves in the second half. Clark-Schoeb finished with three goals on the afternoon, and Lint made four saves in her first appearance.
No. 24 Harvard Snapshot (2-1):
Harvard welcomes UConn to town after an upset victory over No.15 Navy in Annapolis last Sunday, securing an 11-9 road victory. Grace Mullahy led the way for the Crimson with three goals, adding to her team-leading 10 on the year. Charlotte Hodgson scored the game winning goal on a free position shot. Hodgson leads Harvard with 23 draw controls on the season. Goalkeeper Lizzie Francioli was key in the win, making 8 saves in the second half for the win.Â
The Crimson split their first two games of the season against UConn opponents, taking down University of Albany and falling to Drexel. Harvard is coached by Devon Wills, who led Harvard to the Ivy League Tournament for the third consecutive year in 2024.
