UConn Volleyball Hits the Road for Pair of BIG EAST Matches

STORRS, Conn. - UConn volleyball hits the road for a pair of BIG EAST matchups, taking on Georgetown on Oct. 2 and Villanova on Oct. 3. The Huskies battled two of the conference's top teams over the weekend, falling to Marquette, 0-3, and DePaul, 1-3.
The Huskies lead the all-time series against the Hoyas, 13-5. Last season, UConn swept Georgetown at home before earning a four-set victory on the road. The Hoyas enter the matchup following losses to Xavier and Butler. Kamryn Lee-Caracici leads the Georgetown offense with 133 kills this season, while Juleigh Urbina has totaled 382 assists and 18 service aces.
UConn holds a 15-10 edge in the all-time series against Villanova. Last season, the Huskies fell twice to the Wildcats in 1-3 and 2-3 set battles. Villanova enters the matchup following losses to Butler and Xavier. Campbell McKinnon leads the Wildcats' offense with 160 kills and 53 blocks, while Alyssa Nelson has totaled 334 assists and 117 digs.
