Einarsdottir and Borowy Named to All-Tournament Team; Einarsdottir Earns BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll

STORRS, Conn. - UConn volleyball freshmen Helena Einarsdottir and Sydney Borowy were named to the "For the White & Blue" All-Tournament Team following the Huskies' 2-1 weekend at the UConn Volleyball Center.
Einarsdottir put together a dominant offensive performance, totaling 45 kills (3.75 per set) while hitting .385, along with four service aces, 20 digs and eight total blocks. She recorded 13 kills, six digs and two block assists against Coppin State, followed by 13 kills, one ace, four digs and four block assists against Merrimack before finishing the weekend with 19 kills, three aces, 10 digs and two block assists against Rhode Island.
She was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
Borowy also made an impact throughout the tournament, finishing the weekend with 36 kills, 10 digs, six block assists and two service aces. She recorded nine kills against Coppin State, followed by 13 kills against Merrimack and a weekend-high 14 kills against Rhode Island.
