Huskies Host Marquette, DePaul to Open BIG EAST Play

STORRS, Conn. - UConn opens BIG EAST play against Marquette on Sept. 25 and DePaul on Sept. 26 at the UConn Volleyball Center.
The Huskies are coming off a 2-1 weekend at the "For the White & Blue" Tournament. Helena Einarsdottir and Sydney Borowy were named to the All-Tournament Team, while Einarsdottir also earned BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll recognition.
UConn trails 3-16 in the all-time series against Marquette. In last season's matchup, the Huskies fell, 3-0, on the road. Grace Maria recorded five digs, three kills and an assist in the contest.
The Golden Eagles are coming off a 2-0 weekend against St. Thomas and Milwaukee. Marquette hit .363 as a team against Milwaukee, led offensively by Carson Tyler, who posted a match-high 12 kills while hitting .375 and added five blocks.
DePaul enters the weekend with an 8-3 record and is coming off two wins over Loyola and UIC at the Chicago Cup. UConn holds a 10-6 advantage in the all-time series, but the Huskies fell, 3-1, on the road last season.
