STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (3-3-2) is set to host the Seton Hall Pirates (2-2-2) at Ray Reid Field at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium on Friday, September 18. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm and will be aired on ESPN+.

UConn comes into BIG EAST play unbeaten in their last five consecutive matches after starting the season 0-3. The Huskies are averaging 2.13 goals per game, ranking sixth in the conference and 44^th nationally. Forwards Elijah Lanfgord and Evan Pickering have led the attack this season, accounting for 10 of UConn's 16 goals. Pickering has recorded three goals in his last two games.

A Look at Seton Hall

The Seton Hall Pirates are coming off a 2-1 loss to Penn last weekend. The Pirates have posted wins over Rutgers and Campbell this season. Seton Hall is coached by Andreas Lindberg entering his ninth season in South Orange. The Pirates were picked to finish in fifth place in the East Division in the BIG EAST Preseason Coaches' Poll. Seton Hall had two players named to the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team, Til Kauschke, and Mikkel Lejbowicz. Kauschke was named the Preseason Midfielder of the Year.

UConn defeated Seton Hall, 2-1 in the regular season finale in 2025, clinching the Huskies a spot in the BIG EAST Tournament. Since returning to the BIG EAST Conference, these two programs have played seven highly contested matches, resulting in two scoreless draws, and four one-score games.
