STORRS, Conn. - The UConn baseball team (30-23) lost to Northeastern (32-18), 10-6, behind a five-error night from the defense on Tuesday evening.

Leading 6-2 heading into the top of the sixth inning the Huskies committed a pair of errors that led to a four-run frame for Northeastern to tie the game.

In the seventh, the Huskies two more errors including dropping a ball at home plate that would have cut down the go-ahead run at the dish and helped Northeastern reclaim the lead 8-6.

UConn couldn't recover from the change in momentum with the UConn bats being retired in order in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings.

After Northeastern tacked on a pair of insurance runs in the top of the ninth, UConn loaded the bases but the third strikeout of the inning left them stranded.

Jackson Marshall got the Huskies on the board in the first with an RBI single that pushed his on-base streak to 42 consecutive games.

In the second, Anthony Belisario hit his first home run of the year to give UConn a 4-2 advantage.

Garret Garbinski pitched well for the Huskies, going a season-high 4.1 innings of work and retired the first 10 batters that he faced.

Joe Talarico made his first career start and pitched 1.2 innings.

Next up, the Huskies host Villanova in the final series of the regular season beginning Thursday, May 14th at 6:05 p.m.
