Huskies Finish BIG EAST Weekend 1-1

Indianapolis, Indiana - The UConn women's tennis team completed a 1-1 weekend in BIG EAST Action as they defeated Butler University by a final of 4-3 followed by a 5-2 defeat to the University of DePaul.
The Huskies started the weekend strong with a competitive matchup against the Butler Bulldogs. The Huskies started the match strong taking wins in no.2 and no.3 doubles. Butler fought back, securing wins in no.1 and no.2 singles but the Huskies depth proved to be strong as Victoria Matos, Cameron Didion and Madison Mcleod secured wins in their singles matches to push the Huskies to a 4-3 victory.
Following the win over Butler, the Huskies were set to face DePaul University. DePaul came out firing, winning no.1 and no.3 doubles while also securing wins in no.1, no.3, no.5 and no.6 singles. The Huskies saw success as Chloe Lomans won no.2 singles and Cameron Didion continued her successful weekend with a win in no.4 singles.
UP NEXT: The Huskies will return home for a non-conference matchup against Bryant University beginning March 6 in Manchester CT.
