» Following the conclusion of the Hockey East Regular season, the Huskies are set for a
Quarterfinal matchup vs. Boston University on Saturday March 14 at 1pm.
» UConn closed out the regular season with a 18-11-5 overall record and a 12-9-3 record
in Hockey East
» The 3rd place finish in Hockey East is the highest finish in program history for the
Huskies.
» This will be the third matchup between UConn and Boston University this season. The
two teams faced off early in the season in October, with both teams winning on the road
to split the season series.
» Hockey East Awards: Tabor Heaslip has been named Hockey East Best Defensive For-
ward, while Ryan Tattle and Joey Muldowney were named Second Team All-Stars and
Tyler Muszelik was Named 3rd Team All-Star.
» The Huskies have received contributions from all 4 lines this season. Ryan Tattle leads
the Huskies with 30 points, Joey Muldowney leads the Huskies with 16 goals and Ryan
Tattle and Jake Richard both have dished out a team leading 17 assists.
» Best Ability is Availability: Saturday's game marked the 144-game played by seniors
Tom Messineo and Tabor Heaslip. Neither senior missed a game during the four year
career and set the program record for most games played in the Hockey East Era.
» Hockey Humanitarian Finalist: Senior Ryan Tattle has been named a finalist for the
Hockey Humanitarian Award. Tattle is one of five finalists named by the Hockey Hu-
manitarian Committee. This past winter break, Tattle hosted his 5th annual Score for
Cancer game. Following the completion of the game Sat. Dec. 20, Tattle has raised over
$180,000 for Cancer Research.
» Huskies in the NHL: Marc Gatcomb has become the 9th Husky to reach the pros, hav-
ing most recently been called up by the New York Islanders. Gatcomb joins, Chase
Bradley, Ruslan Iskhakov, Yan Kuznetsov, Todd Krygier, Cole Schneider, Max Letunov,
Adam Huska, and Tage Thompson as former Huskies to make it to the league.
