STORRS, Conn. – The UConn men's soccer team (1-0-2) is set to host the Manhattan Jaspers (1-1) on Sunday, August 31 at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:00pm and will be available to stream on UConn+ and on the WWAX in Connecticut. TICKETS
The Huskies are coming off a scoreless tie at NJIT on Thursday, their second straight draw after beginning the season with a win at Syracuse. UConn's back line has had a strong start to the 2025 slate, earning two clean sheets for redshirt-sophomore goalkeeper, Kyle Durham. The New York native has made 13 saves through his first three collegiate games, posting a 0.929 save percentage, which ranks 26th among Division I goalkeepers.
A Look at Manhattan
The Manhattan Jaspers are coming off their first win of 2025, after dropping their season opener to West Virginia. The Jaspers dominated New Jersey City 6-0 their last time out. Freshman forward Martin Rodriguez recorded a hat trick in the win for the Jaspers. Manhattan is coached by Tom Giovatto entering his first season. The Jaspers were picked to finish seventh in the MAAC Preseason Coaches' Poll. Manhattan returns a trio of All-MAAC players to their roster for this season in Ziv Dahan, Henry Hamilton, and Nassim Akki.
Series History
The last time these two programs met was back in 2023, the Huskies shutout the Jaspers 3-0 at Morrone Stadium. UConn has never lost to Manhattan, owning a 4-0 record all-time against the Jaspers. The first meeting between these two programs was back in 2010, the Huskies won 6-0.
