STORRS, Conn. – No. 8 UConn women's hockey (5-2-1) will kick off their Hockey East slate this weekend against the Holy Cross Crusaders. The series will conclude on Sunday, November 2 at 2:00pm at the Hart Center Rink in Worcester, Massachusetts. All games will be streamed on ESPN+.
UConn is riding a five-game unbeaten streak coming into the weekend. The Huskies have faced a challenging schedule to start the season, taking on six top 15 opponents in their first eight games, emerging with an impressive 4-2 record in those matchups. Senior forward Kyla Josifovic leads the Huskies forwards in points this season with eight. Veteran blue-liners Meghane Duchesne-Chalifoux and Maya Serdachny have anchored the Huskies D-core this season, combining for nine points. Serdachny was recently named Hockey East Defender of the Week after netting two goals at Mercyhurst a weekend ago.
A Look at Holy Cross

Holy Cross is coached by Katie Lachapelle entering her seventh season. The Crusaders were voted to finish in ninth place in the Hockey East Preseason Coaches' Poll. Holy Cross has been led by freshman forward Violet Carroll this season. Carroll's ten points this season ranks second in all of Hockey East.
Series History
UConn swept the season series with Holy Cross last year, taking all three games from the Crusaders. The Huskies have won nine straight games against Holy Cross, dating back to the 2022-23 season.
