Huskies Prepare For Matchup Against The Wildcats

STORRS, Conn. – The University of Connecticut women's swimming and diving team returns to action Saturday January 22 as they travel to Durham New Hampshire to take on the University of New Hampshire Wildcats. The meet is set to begin at 1:00 p.m.
UConn enters this matchup with the Wildcats following a very successful 2-0 weekend that featured wins over URI and Big East foe Seton Hall. The Huskies would finish the weekend placing first in 24 of 32 total events and saw strong performances across the board. The two victories were highlighted by sophomore Niamh Hofland taking home four first place victories and the diving trio of sophomore Ana Laura Faoro, freshman Julia Pioso and senior Marina Wilkins sweeping both the 1-meter and 3-meter dives.
The Wildcats welcome the Huskies following a 166-125 loss to Northeastern. New Hampshire enters this matchup with a 3-2 overall record. The wildcats are led by senior Anna Metzler who claimed first place in the 200 free 500 free and the 200 IM.
