The Huskies finish the regular season with a 7-3 mark in the BIG EAST and at 11-5 overall, their highest win total since the 2016 campaign (12-5). UConn will be the No. 2 seed in the championship tournament and face No. 3 Georgetown in the semifinals on Thursday, May 6.
Similar to Friday's game, UConn fell behind early as Georgetown opened up with a 2-0 lead just 2:11 into the game. From there the Huskies ripped off a 6-1 run over the next 10 minutes to take a 6-3 lead and would never trail the rest of the way.

Junior Lia LaPrise (Windsor, Conn.) scored twice and dished two assists while classmate Grace Coon (Marcellus, N.Y.) and sophomore Kyra Place (Enola, Pa.) each scored three goals in the win.
The Hoyas, 6-9 overall and 5-5 in the BIG EAST, twice pulled to within a goal in the first half but two-straight from Palmucci and Coon to close the half gave the Huskies a 9-6 lead at the break. In the second half, Georgetown cut to within 11-8 at the 21:21 mark but UConn answered with three-straight from Madelyn George (Rush, N.Y.), Place and Palmucci to take their biggest lead of the day at 14-8 with 14:30 left.
Defensively, sophomore Ariana Kline (Reading, Pa.) had two caused turnovers and four ground balls and also won six draws. Junior goaltender Landyn White (Alpharetta, Ga.) made seven saves and also had three caused turnovers in the win.
