DENVER, CO – The UConn women's lacrosse team saw the 2026 season come to an end on Thursday night falling to the Georgetown Hoyas, 12-6, in the BIG EAST Championship presented by JEEP semifinals from Denver's Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
The first quarter saw a tight defensive battle with UConn's Karsyn Burnash tying the game up at 1-1 with 1:29 left. The Hoyas would own the rest of the first half and used five unanswered goals to take a 6-1 lead into the break. Reagan Ziegler scored twice on the run.
Georgetown's Sophia Loschert scored to close the second quarter then extended the Hoya run to six-straight goals with her second goal to open the third and extend the lead to 7-1.
