BSB Opens Elliot Ballpark vs. CCSU

STORRS, Conn. - The UConn baseball team has not played a home game in 682 days but on Tuesday, March 23Â the Huskies will open brand new Elliot Ballpark against Central Connecticut State at 3 p.m.
Elliot Ballpark is named after Doug Elliot, a UConn baseball player from 1979-82 who was named Lawrence R. Panciera MVP during his playing career, and his family (wife, Sheila, and children, Doug and Jaclyn) for their support of the stadium project and the UConn baseball program.
The Huskies are coming off a series win at St. Joseph's that featured a 13-0 rubber game victory on Sunday.
Kyler Fedko took home his second-straight BIG EAST Player of the Week honor after going 8-12 (.667) with four RBIs. Fedko is batting .704 in his last six games.
UConn is 6-11 this season but has the No. 5 strength of schedule nationally entering Tuesday's game.Â
CCSU is 5-3 this season and are coming off a series win against Sacred Heart in Northeast Conference play.
UConn is 32-9 all-time against the Blue Devils. The last meeting resulted in a 9-1 victory at J.O. Christian Field. Kyler and Christian Fedko combined for four RBIs in the win.
