UConn to Host No. 18 Florida on Senior Day

STORRS, Conn. – Playing at home for the final time this season, UConn women's lacrosse will honor its seven seniors before hosting the eighteenth-ranked Florida Gators on Saturday, April 20th at the Sherman Family Sports Complex. Opening draw is slated for 12:00 ET.

- Florida holds the all-time series lead, 4-1.
- The Gators (9-6) enter the matchup fresh off a 20-10 win over East Carolina.

Sophomore Sydney Watson had four goals but UConn women's lacrosse (2-13) fell, 22-15, to Vanderbilt at Donald R. Dizney Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Senior Caitlin Leary notched a hat trick, the trio of Brooke Jensen, Olivia Miles and Lia LaPrise each allied two goals apiece, with Abby Vetsch and Anna Costello each adding one goal apiece, respectively, to round out the UConn goal scorers.

Katie Woods enters her 9th season at the helm of the UConn Lacrosse program in 2019. The most successful coach in UConn women's lacrosse history, Woods has accumulated a 107-96 record, six winning seasons and two conference Coach of the Year Awards during her time in Storrs.
