Women’s Lacrosse Heads to Hanover for Date with No. 25 Dartmouth

STORRS, Conn. – UConn women's lacrosse gears up for a midweek clash as the team travels to Hanover, New Hampshire to battle it out against the 25th-ranked Dartmouth Big Green Tuesday afternoon. Opening draw is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. ET at Scully-Fahey Field.

- The Huskies and Big Green have met just twice all-time, each team winning one game apiece. The last time the two teams met on the pitch - Feb. 21, 2015 – the Huskies earned a 16-10 victory.
- The Big Green (6-3) enter Tuesday's contest after collecting a four-point win, 15-11, over Ivy League foe Harvard. Ellie Carson's notched four goals and Kellen D'Alleva racked up a seven-point game thanks to a pair of tallies and five assists.
- Kierra Sweeney leads Dartmouth's offense with 31 goals, while Kellen D'Alleva boasts team-highs in assists (26) and points (40). Four different goalies have seen game action for the Big Green – In six games, Kiera Vrindten has racked up 47 saves, a .373 save percentage and a 13.46 goals-against average.
Last Time Out…
Senior captain Caitlin Leary racked up six goals but the UConn women's lacrosse team's late rally fell short as the Huskies (2-9) fell, 11-9, to Cincinnati Saturday morning at Gettler Stadium.
Sam McKenna, Abby Vetsch and Olivia Miles each tallied one goal apiece, with Lia LaPrise, Sydney Watson and Lexi Kenneally each dishing out one assist, respectively. Junior goalie Grace Beshlian collected 12 saves in the loss.

Katie Woods enters her 9th season at the helm of the UConn Lacrosse program in 2019. The most successful coach in UConn women's lacrosse history, Woods has accumulated a 107-96 record, six winning seasons and two conference Coach of the Year Awards during her time in Storrs.
