Huskies Head to Dallas for Road Contest At SMU

STORRS, Conn. – After a week of being idle, UConn men's basketball returns to action as it heads to Dallas, Texas for a road matchup against the SMU Mustangs on Thursday, Feb. 21. The game is scheduled for a 9 p.m. (EST) tipoff and will be televised by ESPN2.

Opponent and Series History…
- SMU leads the all-time series, 9-4. UConn took the first game of the home-and-home series back on Jan. 10, 76-64.
- SMU (12-12, 4-8) is coming off an 82-74 loss on the road at Temple.
- The Mustangs are led in scoring by Jahmal McMurray (17.7), one of the team's four double-figure scorers. Ethan Chargois leads SMU in rebounding (6.7) and Jimmy Whitt Jr. is tops in assists (4.3).

Coach Dan Hurley enters his first season at the helm after he became the 19th head coach in the history of UConn men's basketball on March 22, 2018. Prior to his hiring, Hurley spent two seasons at Wagner College and six at the University of Rhode Island, and owns a collegiate coaching record of 153- 105 (.593). He is coming off two consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and last season was named the Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year.
