Swim/Dive Heads to Boston for Pair of Meets

BOSTON - The UConn swimming and diving team is coming off one of its biggest home meets in program history and looking to ride that momentum into a pair of meets this weekend in Boston.
Friday, November 8 at 3 p.m. the Huskies face off against Boston College, Duke and Dartmouth at the Margot Connell Recreation Center. UConn quickly turns around and competes at Boston University against the Terriers and Bryant University. The meet begins at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 9 at Aquatics Center - Competition Pool.
The Huskies are coming off an extremely fast meet against Army that saw UConn post 99 personal best times and featured times that were quite an improvement from last year against the Black Knights
UConn will go up against stiff competition with Duke ranking No. 26 on the men's side and No. 19 on the women's.Â
Last year, the men's team collected dual meet victories against both Boston College (160.5-114.5) and Dartmouth (122-115) while the women defeated Boston College (170-119) and Boston University (147-93) but lost to Dartmouth, 154-83.Â
Huskies Nationally
Senior Will Kearsey currently holds the 30th best time in the country in the 100 Back (48.50), 45th in the 50 Back (22.81).
Diver Justin Corres ranks in the Top 50 in the country with a No. 38 ranking in the 1M dive (276.74) and 41st in the 3M (298.20). Erin Clifford follows suit with No. 34 ranking in the 3M (271.80) and 39th in the 1M (268.35).Â
Elizabeth Drab also sits inside the top 50 with a score of 263.78 putting her 48th nationally in the 3M dive.
