Huskies Host Providence in Tuesday Matinee

STORRS, Conn. – UConn men's soccer takes a break from AAC play Tuesday as they prepare to host the Providence Friars in a non-conference afternoon tilt. The match is scheduled for a 1 p.m. kickoff.

- UConn is 34-6-2 all-time against the Friars. The last time these teams met on the pitch (2017), the Huskies won 1-0.
- The Huskies have scored 14 on 19 assists. Senior Jordan Hall leads the way in goals with nine tallies, while classmate Dayonn Harris has posted a team-high eight assists.
- Providence enters the game boasting a, which includes a win over then No. 11 Xavier. They recently lost to Butler, 3-1, on Oct. 4. The Friars took on No. 2 Georgetown for their second BIG EAST game of the season and fell short, 2-1. Previously, Providence was coming off a four-game win streak at home including wins over Brown, 1-0, and Seton Hall, 1-0, in their BIG EAST home-opener of the season.

Ray Reid leads the Huskies in his 23rd season as the head coach. A four-time National Coach of the Year and National Champion, Reid boasts the fourth-highest winning percentage (.740) among active coaches.
Last Time Out:
The UConn men's soccer team competed in an intense defensive battle with Memphis Friday afternoon at Dillon Stadium. The Huskies battled for 94 minutes, and an early scoring chance, however, could not find the back of the goal as the Tigers handed UConn a tough, 1-0 loss in conference play.
