AT UCONN: Is in her third year as a member of the team.
2015-16: Competed as a member of the Second Varsity Eight; finished the season in bow seat at the American Athletic Conference Championship. In the fall, competed as seven seat of the Open Eight ‘A’ that placed second at the Head of the Riverfront and bow seat of the Championship Eight at the Head of the Charles and the Head of the Schuylkill.
2014-15: Competed as a member of the First Varsity Eight, Second Varsity Eight, and the Second Varsity Four; finished the season in five seat of the First Varsity Eight at the American Athletic Conference Championship. In the fall, competed as bow seat of the Varsity Eight ‘B’ that placed third at the Head of the Riverfront, and six seat of the Novice Eight ‘A’ that won the Head of the Schuylkill.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Our Lady of Lourdes High School in Poughkeepsie, NY … earned seven varsity letters as a member of the rowing team … in 2012, was Varsity Rookie of the Year … in 2013, was named Varsity Player of the Year … was team captain in 2014 … Scholar Athlete Award recipient … Deans List … National Honor Society member.
PERSONAL: Shannon Kathleen Cox … English major … born on January 6, 1996 … Daughter of Edward and Therese Cox … has one brother, Daniel.
