WILES-LAFAYETTE ON ROWING AT UCONN: 'Without UConn rowing, my college experience would not have been nearly as interesting. Four years of scantron tests and Powerpoint slides could only teach me so much but, four years of rowing have been filled with challenges and excitement. From hunching around a dining hall table plotting a race plan to dancing in pre-race dance circles to feeling the thrill of being an underdog coming out ahead, my best college memories have been with the team. I haven[apos]t had a dull day with UConn rowing. Whenever I talk to my parents, I always gush that I have so much to tell them. And all of it is about rowing. Whether it[apos]s about the latest round of team competitions or about the line-up of teams in our heat, rowing has been a huge part of my life for the past four years. Although my major and career plans may change daily, my experiences on the UConn rowing team will stay with me for the rest of my life.'
