While at UConn: Made it to collegiate competition in 2018-19 after sitting out the 2017-18 season as a transfer student... Saw action in 26 games, starting six... Outstanding athlete who will be looking for an expanded role in 2019-20 because of his versatility as both a perimeter and inside player... His quickness and leaping ability allow him to produce highlight-reel moments at both ends of the court... Sat out the 2017-18 season as a transfer student after enrolling in summer school classes at St. John’s University in the summer of 2017, but having a change of heart and leaving a few weeks later. After all attempts at gaining an NCAA waiver were exhausted, he entered UConn and sat out as a transfer... Was able to practice and participate in team activities with the Huskies throughout the 2017-18 season... Worked throughout the summer on improving his outside shooting and ballhandling... Has three seasons of eligibilty remaining.
As a Redshirt Freshman in 2018-19: Appeared in 26 games, starting six, and averaged 18.8 minutes, 4.6 points and 2.7 rebounds per game, and finished second on the team with 20 blocked shots... Had four double-figure scoring games... Had best game at Memphis with career-high 16 points, to go with six rebounds and three blocked shots... Went 5-for-5 shooting and scored 12 in home win over ECU... Also scored double figures against Houston (12) and at ECU (10).
Before College: Highly-skilled, versatile player who was a consensus Top 75 recruit... Spent his senior season of 2016-17 at Brewster Academy (Wolfeboro, N.H.) under coach Jason Smith, averaging 17.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, and shooting 60 percent to help Brewster post a perfect 33-0 record, winning the NEPSAC AAA Championship and the National Prep Championship... Attended St. Raymond’s High School for his first three years under coach Jorge Lopez, scoring over 1,000 career points. As a junior, was a First Team All-CHSAA pick after averaging 17 ppg and as a sophomore, was a Second Team All-CHSAA selection after averaging 14.0 points and 9.0 rebounds... Played AAU ball for New Heights program and averaged 17.0 points and 6.0 rebounds during the summer of 2016, leading new heights to an 8-4 record and the UAA (Under Armour circuit) finals... Invited to high-level camps, including Pangos All-American Camp, Under Armour All-American Camp and the Under Armour Elite 24 Showcase.
