AS A JUNIOR (2020): Started in all seven games recording at least a point in six games…Tallied a hat trick against UMass Lowell…Scored three free position goals…Picked up seven ground balls…Won four draw controls.
AS A SOPHOMORE (2019): Played in 17 games, starting two…Accumulated 10 points (9 goals, 1 assist)…Four multi-point efforts, including two goals in the 17-7 victory over ECU in the season finale…Totaled 16 ground balls and five caused turnovers.
AS A FRESHMAN (2018): Appeared in all 17 games … tacked on two goals and six helpers for eight points … notched her first career point with an assist against Fairfield (Feb. 14) … added one goal and one assists for her first multi-point game … racked up six ground balls, three draw controls and one caused turnover.
HIGH SCHOOL: Earned four varsity letters at Marcellus … served as the team’s captain both junior and senior year … two-time first team All-League selection … named MVP senior year … led her team to two league championships … three-year varsity player in tennis … first team All-league selection … senior captain .. two-time team MVP … named to the high honor roll all four years of high school … received the Scholar Athlete Award … graduated with an advanced regents diploma with honors in math and science.
PERSONAL: Abby Kathleen Vetsch … born in May in of 1999 … daughter of Eric and Susan … has two younger sisters, Anna and Maddie … majoring in biology.
