#7 Huskies Set for Weekend Homestand vs. #14 Liberty and Northeastern

STORRS, Conn. โ The UConn women's field hockey team is back in action as they are set to host no.14 Liberty Friday evening followed by a matchup against Northeastern Sunday sept 27.
The Huskies are coming off a 2-0 weekend which featured a win over Villanova to open conference action and a win over no.3 Princeton in non-conference action. With the wins, UConn improved to 6-1 overall ahead of the rematch of last season BIG EAST Championship game. The matchup vs. Liberty will be the Huskies fifth ranked matchup of the season.
Liberty enters the Friday matchup posting a 5-3 overall record and are coming off a 7-2 win over Appalachian State. Liberty is led by Clarisa Ludicello who has scored seven goals in eight total games.
Northeastern enters the weekend posting a 2-5 overall record and are coming off a 1-0 shootout loss to Harvard. The Huskies are led by Alex Mega and Camille and Armaganian who have combined for six total goals.
The game vs. Liberty is set to begin at 6pm and can be streamed live on ESPN+ while the game vs. Northeastern can be streamed live on UConn+.
