CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – UConn men's soccer scored two goals in the second half to earn a 2-2 draw at Harvard on Saturday. The Huskies improved to 3-3-2 on the year.

Harvard opened the scoring in the 10^th minute to give the Crimson an early 1-0 lead.

UConn pressed for an equalizer in the first half, forcing Harvard goalkeeper Jason Broome to make two saves. Neither team scored again before halftime, leaving UConn trailing 1-0 after the first half. The Crimson held a 7-5 advantage in shots in the opening half.

UConn pressed early for an equalizer in the second half, generating three shot attempts in the opening ten minutes.

Junior midfielder Aidan Sheppela got the Huskies on the board with an equalizer in the 57^th minute, leveling the score at 1-1. The goal marks Sheppela's second of the season.

UConn took its first lead of the game in the 75^th minute when junior forward Evan Pickering followed up Preston Alessio's shot off the post, netting his third goal in his last two games. Pickering now has four goals on the year.

Harvard tied the score in the 81^st minute putting the final scoreline at 2-2.

Harvard held a 14-13 edge in shots while both teams put six attempts on goal, and each goalkeeper made four saves. The match also featured a combined 29 fouls and eight yellow cards. UConn has achieved at least 13 shots in five consecutive games. Sheppela scored an unassisted goal and put both of his shots on frame. Pickering added a goal on three shots, tying Alessio for the team lead in attempts. Alessio recorded an assist and finished with three shots, including one on goal.
