Hailey Mercuri Named Assistant Rowing Coach

STORRS, Conn. – Hailey Mercuri has joined the UConn Rowing coaching staff, announced by head coach Jennifer Sanford.
Mercuri joins the Huskies program after serving as a graduate assistant at Nova Southeastern University where she is pursuing a master's degree in Sports Science.
"I'm honored to be joining the coaching staff at the University of Connecticut," said Mercuri. "Having been shaped by incredible coaches throughout my own journey, I'm passionate about passing on that knowledge and values to our athletes. I'm committed to fostering a culture of growth, resilience, and achievement - both in rowing and in life beyond school. I'm excited for all that the 2025-2026 season holds. Go Huskies!"
Mercuri competed for the University of Oklahoma rowing program in 2019, and then the University of Iowa rowing program from 2020-24. She graduated from Iowa in 2024 with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science. Hailing from Ontario, Canada, Mercuri has represented her country at the U-23 Worlds 8+ in Varese, Italy, and the U-19 Worlds twice in Tokyo, Japan.
