No. 1 Seed Huskies Face No. 5 Seed Northeastern in Hockey East Semifinals

STORRS, Conn. – The No. 1 seeded UConn women's hockey team faces off against the No. 5 seeded Northeastern Huskies in the Hockey East semifinals at the Toscano Family Ice Forum on Wednesday, March 5. Puck drop is set for 6:00pm and will be televised on NESN. TICKETS
UConn (22-11-2, 19-6-2 HE) shutout the Merrimack Warriors to open the Hockey East Tournament in the quarterfinal last Saturday. Graduate student forward Jada Habisch led the way with two goals, her third multi-goal game this season. Senior goaltender Tia Chan recorded her fifth shutout of the season, making 32 saves in the win.
Scouting Northeastern:
The Northeastern Huskies (21-13-1, 15-11-1 HE) are coming off a 3-2 win at Providence in quarterfinal last Saturday. Northeastern has been led by Hockey East Second Team All-Star Skylar Irving this season who leads the Huskies in goals (15), assists (16), and points (31).
Northeastern won all three games in the regular season, the only team to sweep the Huskies this season. Each game was tightly contested as only one goal separated the two teams in every game they played. Northeastern won the first two 1-0, with the third game finishing 4-3 in overtime.
