Huskies Host Sacred Heart Thursday

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team is set for a home match at Magic Lincer Tennis Club in Manchester, Conn., on Thursday, Feb. 29.
The Huskies enter the matchup 6-4 overall and 1-2 in BIG EAST play. Last time out, UConn split last weekend falling to DePaul and then bouncing back in a comeback win against Butler both on the road. Sophomore Cameron Didion led the way for the Huskies last match with the final singles point and the clinch. Junior Olivia Wright kept her winning ways going in singles play extending her record to 6-4.
Scouting Sacred Heart
Heading into the matchup, the Pioneers are 8-1 overall. Last time out, Sacred Heart won both matches last weekend against Providence 6-1, and Siena 5-2. Leading the way for the Pioneers is Katsiaryna Starastsenka with an undefeated record at first singles through her last six matches played. Starastsenka also is undefeated at first doubles with partner Kim Fenton also through their last six matches played together.
UConn faced Sacred Heart once last season falling short 5-2 at home in Storrs. In all-time matchups, the Huskies are 3-2.
