UConn Set to Face St. John's at USTA Billie Jean King Tennis Center

STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's tennis team is set to face St. John's in another Big East matchup on Friday in Flushing Meadows, N.Y.
Entering the matchup, UConn stands at 7-4 overall and 1-1 in the conference. The Huskies dropped both matches in Orlando against Creighton and Navy on Mar. 10 and Mar. 13.
Last time out, Maria Constantinou won both in singles and doubles against Navy with her first doubles partner, Olivia Wright, taking a 6-4 win. Then, Constantinou took a straight set victory 6-2, 6-4 at second singles.
Scouting the Red Storm
Heading into the matchup, St. John's posts an 8-6 overall record and a 2-0 conference record. Last time out, the Red Storm took a 6-1 victory over Providence on Mar. 17. For St. John's, Lalita Devarakonda went 2-0 on the day at third doubles winning 6-2 with her doubles partner, Amaya Lopez. Then, Devarakonda took the first singles win in straight sets taking a 6-2, 6-1 victory.
