2024-25 (Senior season): The senior capped off her season with 19 singles wins, as well as 5 conference wins. Wright also added 27 doubles wins, as well as 6 conference wins.
2023-24 (Junior season): In the fall, Wright amassed a singles record of 9-7 playing mostly at the first singles position... In doubles play, Wright secured an impressive doubles record of 14-4 with teammate Matos... Wright and Matos earned the Doubles Flight A Championship at the Army West Point Invitational.
2022-23 (Sophomore Season): In the fall, the Providence transfer started out with UConn taking a close three-set victory in singles play against Army resulting in a 7-5, 6-4, 10-6 final score. In the spring, had a shortened season due to injury but was able to play in 10 total dual matches at first singles. Finished the spring with a 5-5 first singles record. In doubles, finished the 2022-23 season with a 16-12 doubles record including a 7-7 doubles record in dual matches.
Before UConn: Comes to UConn after a season at Providence...She picked-up 12 wins in singles action playing the season at No. 1 as a freshman...In the spring, she had eight wins including a five-match winning streak...In doubles play, she won seven matches playing with Julia Migliorini...Prior to Providence, Wright attended Deep Run High School in Glen Allen, Virginia, while training at Raintree Swim and Racquet Club...During high school, she won state doubles titles in 2018, 2019, and 2021...In 2021 she won regionals in singles, and made it to the state semifinals and also helped lead her team to state titles in 2018 and 2019, while playing #1 singles and doubles...Wright was named an All-Metro player in 2018, 2019 and 2021 and was named All-Metro Player of the Year...While also playing high school tennis, played sectional and national tournaments reaching a ranking of #4 in the Mid-Atlantic and #76 nationally...Earned four varsity letters under Head Coach Maria Sorkin and where she went undefeated in doubles throughout the entirety of high school.
Personal: Born July 22, 2003… Daughter of Mervyn Wright and Sofia Hiort-Wright...Has a younger brother Noah Wright (16)..Wright is a psychology student at UConn.
