Watson Wins Fourth BIG EAST Weekly Award

STORRS, Conn. - UConn senior Sydney Watson (Prince Fredrick, Md.) helped guide the Huskies to another weekend sweep and 4-0 start to the BIG EAST schedule and was named the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week on Monday. It is Watson's fourth weekly award this season.
Watson filled the stat sheet in a 2-0 road series with Butler, registering eight points off five goals and three assists, and 16 draw controls. The senior had three points (2g, 1a) and 10 draws in Game 1 of the weekend, before following with five points (3g, 2a) and six draws in the Game 2 victory. Seven of Watson's eight points on the week came in the first half as the Huskies built an early lead.
Watson and the Huskies will be off until next weekend when the host nationally ranked Denver on April 9 and 11 at Joseph J. Morrone Stadium.
