Huskies Overmatched 14-4 at St. John's

QUEENS, N.Y. - The UConn baseball team dropped the series opener to St. John's 14-4 on Friday afternoon at Jack Kaiser Stadium.
The Huskies (7-7) took their only lead of the game in the top of the first inning on an RBI single from Zac Susi to plate Anthony Nucerino. Susi notched a pair of hits to record his seven multi-hit of the season.

Tim Cate struggled on the hill tying his career-high with 11 hits allowed and eight runs given up for the UConn lefthander. The Manchester, Conn. native record falls to 1-4 on the season.
Isaac Feldstein hit a two-run homer in the fourth inning to make it a 6-3 deficit for the Huskies. It is the sixth home run of the season for the senior and the right fielder has homered in three of the Huskies last four contests.
Anthony Prato added a run on an RBI single in the ninth.
UConn continues its series at St. John's on Saturday at 1 p.m. with Mason Feole on the hill for the Huskies.
