Women’s Hockey Hosts Big Green in Sunday Matinee

STORRS, Conn. – Hitting the ice for the first time since early December, the Huskies wrap up the 2018 portion of the schedule with a non-conference tilt against Dartmouth. Puck drop is set for 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 30 at the Freitas Ice Forum.

Opponent and Series History…
- The Huskies and Big Green have met on the ice nine times, with Dartmouth holding a 6-2-1 advantage in the all-time series.
- UConn won last season's matchup, 5-2, on Dec. 31, 2017. Theresa Knutson tallied two goals on the day, with Justine Fredette, Natalie Snodgrass and Kayla Mee each found the back of the net for scores of their own.
- Dartmouth enters the contest with a 3-9-1 overall record and a 2-5-1 mark in ECAC competition. The Big Green last hit the ice on Dec. 4, dropping a 2-0 decision to New Hampshire.

Last Time Out…
UConn played a home-and-home series against Providence back on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1. The Huskies fell, 4-1, in the first game but bounced back on Saturday as they knocked off the No. 8 Friars, 2-1, in Providence to snap the Friars' nine-game winning streak and give coach Chris MacKenzie his 100th career win.
Leading the Pack…
Chris MacKenzie enters his sixth season as the coach of the Huskies. Mackenzie has been an instrumental part in turning the program around and in 2015-16, Mackenzie coached UConn to their first winning season since 2010.
