STORRS, Conn. - The University of Connecticut women's volleyball team begins its final home stand of the 2014 season on Wednesday, Nov. 26 when it hosts Houston at Gampel Pavilion. Originally scheduled for a 7 p.m. first serve, the match start time has been moved up to 2 p.m. due to impending weather.
UConn (10-19) dropped a pair of matches to SMU and Tulsa on the road last weekend. Senior setter Sage Esposito notched a double-double (31 assists, 14 digs) against the Mustangs on Friday, while senior tri-captain Devon Maugle (Plymouth Meeting, Pa.) led all Husky players with 12 kills in Sunday's setback to the Golden Hurricane.
Maugle, who picked up her 1,000th career kill against ECU earlier this month, needs just three digs to become the seventh-ever Husky player to record 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs.
The Huskies are 0-3 all-time against the Cougars after the teams met on the court for the first time in 2013. The Huskies narrowly missed a comeback win against their out-of-state foes on Oct. 19, falling in five on the road despite a .293 team hitting percentage.
As the regular season wraps up, captain Brianna Datti (Durham, N.H.) stands at No. 7 in the conference and 75th nationally with 510 total digs while junior middle blocker Immanuella Anagu (Culver City, Calif.) boasts a .320 hitting percentage which is good for seventh in The American and 147 in the country.

The Huskies will round out regular season play on Friday against Tulane. The 7 p.m. match will serve as the 2014 Senior Night in which the Huskies will honor Karson Ratliff, Maugle, Esposito, Amy Christensen and Datti.
