Huskies Close Homestand Against Bentley

The University of Connecticut men's hockey team closes out a five-game homestand at the Mark Edward Freitas Ice Forum playing host to the Bentley Falcons in an Atlantic Hockey Association match-up. The Huskies are unbeaten in their last four games and take the ice Friday night fresh off a 4-3 win over Holy Cross on Tuesday. The Falcons opened their season with eight-straight games on the road and are looking to shake off an 8-7 loss to AIC in their home-opener last weekend. Friday's game is the first in a three-game AHA series this season. UConn will host Bentley again on February 7th and head to Watertown, Mass. on February 8th.
UConn vs. Bentley All-Time Series… The Huskies lead the all-time series with Bentley, 24-19-3. UConn has won two-straight over the Falcons and took the season series last year, 2-1. Bentley does hold a 6-4 edge over the Huskies in the last 10 meeting between the two schools. UConn and Bentley have met just once in the postseason, a 2-1 Husky win in the first round of the 2010 Atlantic Hockey playoffs. UConn is 13-8-1 against Bentley when playing at home in the Freitas Ice Forum.
On Tap… UConn will head to Boston University on Sunday evening to take on the Terriers in Agganis Arena in the first of two meetings against future Hockey East opponents this season. The Huskies will also pay nationally ranked Providence a visit on February 11th.

Senior captain Brant Harris is expected to return to the ice this weekend after missing the first six games with a knee injury. He scored 31 points (15g/16a) last season.
Freshman Joona Kunnas scored his first career goal in the win over Holy Cross.
The UConn power play is tops in the AHA and ranks second in the nation. The Huskies have converted five of 16 opportunities (.312) this season.

UConn will travel to Boston University on Sunday, marking the first-ever meeting between the Huskies and Terriers.
