Diver Cecco Honored For Academic Achievement

STORRS, Conn. - University of Connecticut diver Danielle Cecco (Hicksville, N.Y.), who will be a senior in the fall, has been named to the 2012 Scholar All-American Team by the College Swimming Coaches Association of America. In order to qualify for the this team, a student-athlete must have a 3.0 grade point average in spring 2012 semester and have earned a spot in the NCAA Championship.
Cecco, an elementary education major, was named the BIG EAST Diver of the Year in 2012 and also won her second-straight NCAA Zone Diving Championship in the three-meters. Cecco took part in both the one-meter and three-meter events at the NCAA Championship last March.
