BIG EAST Diving Championship
Bransfield, Cecco Honored As BIG EAST Diving Championships

PITTSBURGH, Pa. - Univeristy of Connecticut junior Danielle Cecco (Hicksville, N.Y.) finished second in the three-meter diving with a score of 309.95 at the BIG EAST Championship on Saturday. Cecco was named the 2012 BIG EAST Women's Most Outstanding Diver at the Championship after a first place and runner-up finish on the one-meter and three-meter boards, respectively.
The Diving Coach of the Year honors were also awarded, with Connecticut's John Bransfieldwinning 2012 BIG EAST Women's Diving Coach of the Year.
UConn senoir Kelly McCauley (Cortland Manor, was 14th in the three-meters on Saturday with a score of 215.35 while Nicole Borriello was 19th with 199.10 points.
On th men's side, junior Grant Fecteau (Delmar, N.Y.) was fifth in the one-meters with 273.15 points after scoring a 270.50 in the preliminaries.
The diving portion of the BIG EAST Championship wraps up Sunday, Feb. 12 at noon with platform diving.
