STORRS, Conn. - Baseball America's "Eight for Omaha 2011" features the University of Connecticut baseball team as a contender for next year's College World Series in Omaha, Neb.
UConn, which did not make Baseball America's top-eight list, is among the respected baseball media outlet's top-16 choices of teams who could compete for the National Championship title come next June.

In other baseball news, UConn's all-time hits and doubles leader Mike Nemeth, who completed his junior season with the Huskies in 2010, has been featured in the Cape Cod Times as he is currently playing for the Bourne Braves in the Cape Cod Baseball League this summer.
