Cecoo Earns All-BIG EAST In One-Meter Diving

PITTSBURGH - Freshman Danielle Cecco (Hicksville, N.Y.) finished in third place in the one-meter diving on Friday as the BIG EAST Conference Championships opened. Cecoo earned All-BIG EAST honors for her performance. The diving part of the event takes place this weekend while the swimming is next weekend.
Cecco was third after the preliminaries with a score of 257.20 and finished in the finals with a score of 292.30. Hannah Gadd of Louisville won the event with 310.60 points.
UConn sophomore Kelly McCauley (Cortland Manor, N.Y.) was 21st in the preliminaries with 203.65 points while freshman Nicole Borriello (Montgomery, N.Y.) was 22nd with 203.25. Neither Husky advance to the finals.
The diving championships run through Sunday.
