Huskies Earn National Ranking

The University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse team earned nationally recognition for the first time in program history this week, after the Huskies upset No. 15 Vanderbilt in Orland, Fla. on April 22. The Warrior/IL Women’s Power Poll ranked UConn No. 20 nationally on Tuesday morning. The Huskies also received votes in the IWLCA/Brine National Poll.
Sophomore Tracy Mullaney (Cockeysville, MD) was named to the Warrior/IL Women’s Power Player of the Week honorable mention team. She notched five points (3g, 2a), collected five ground balls, two draw controls and caused three turnovers.
The Huskies will play host to Quinnipiac on Wednesday, March 26 at 3:00 pm at the Sherman Family Sports Complex in Storrs.
