Huskies Claim Two Races at Miami

MIAMI, FL (March 22) – The University of Connecticut women’s rowing team completed its southern tour capturing two of eight races against the University of Miami on Saturday afternoon.
The women’s second novice four boat took the first place finish in its race ending in a time of 8:39.01. Miami followed behind in a time of 9:14.61. The women’s second varsity four also took home a first place win in a time of 7:53.30, while Miami took second in a time of 7:64.60.
The women’s varsity eight squad took second in a time of 6:51.77, and in the women’s second varsity the team ended in a time of 7:07.43, good for second place. In the women’s varsity four race, UConn placed second of three boats (7:45.45), and in the novice four, also ended in second place (7:60.45). Last was the women’s second novice eight race, completed the competition in second (7:51.04).
