Feeley Named BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of Week

STORRS, CT (April 22) – Senior Kelly Feeley of the University of Connecticut women’s lacrosse team was named the BIG EAST Co-Defensive Player of the Week by the league office on Monday afternoon. Feeley is the first Husky to receive a BIG EAST weekly honor this season.
Feeley helped the Huskies extend their winning streak to four victories over Massachusetts and Virginia Tech. For the week, she recorded six ground balls, two draw controls and four caused turnovers and helped the Husky defense hold UMass to just seven goals. She also contributed on the offensive end, notching seven goals and two assists.
The Huskies will take-on intrastate rival Fairfield University on Wednesday, April 24 at 3:30 pm in Fairfield, CT.
