Huskies Sweep Holy Cross

WORCESTER, MA (February 5, 2002) -- In the final scheduled meet before the BIG EAST Championships, The University of Connecticut swimming & diving team swept Holy Cross Tuesday night. The men won by a score of 154-141 and the women by a score of 154-127.
UConn brought home nine first-place finishes, led by junior Marshal Livingstone (Endwell, NY) who took first in the 50 backstroke and the 500 freestyle.
On the women's side, the Huskies claimed first place in every event but the 500 freestyle, the 50 butterfly and the 200 freestyle relay.
Select members of the team will participate in the Rutgers last chance meet on Saturday, Feb. 26, in Piscataway, NJ. Preliminaries will begin at 10 a.m. followed by finals at 2 p.m. This will be the last meet to qualify for the BIG EAST Championships, which will be held on Feb. 21-23 in Uniondale, NY.
