Bergkessel to Compete at Ironwoman Triathlon

STORRS, CT (Oct. 3) Kelly Bergkessel a senior swimmer at the University of Connecticut will compete in the Ironwoman Hawaii Triathlon, Saturday, October 19.
Bergkessel qualified for the event by finishing first in her age division at the Lake Placid Triathlon on July 28. She finished the race in a time of 11 hours 18 minutes and 19 seconds and was in fifth place overall after the swimming phase of the event.
Kelly is an electrical engineer major at UConn with a 3.943 GPA in the honors program.
